I did not try it with controller and I heard it works okay with controller after I figured it out on keyboard. When this happened, I paused the game for awhile and she would reset in a way and stop running forward on her own.

Alice would randomly move forward on her own and it takes awhile to gain control again (I thought my W key was not working, so I tested it on another game and it worked perfectly).

Then it loaded for me after a few pc resets. For me, I left alot of the options on default except the camera sensitivity and the interact button to 'F' as a preference. The other options i left on low or none/off. I had to reset my pc multiple times and changes my resolution to the default setting. Unfortunately, it seems to be a common issue. When I opened the game, it would be stuck on loading for a long time. This was my biggest issue aside from the umbrella blocking. After figuring this out, I was able to proceed through the game fortunately. One time the Vorpal blade was not appearing.) If you are using keyboard, for blocking you need to HOLD CAPS and then tap E and HOLD to block for the umbrella to work and have the projectiles bounce off to hit the enemy's shield. I had to do lots of research on it since mine refused to work at first, which unfortunately is a vital feature when dealing with the 'cannon crabs' and the 'menacing ruin' (i hated this one, I was stuck on a level for a long time since my weapons refused to work. The blocking feature with the umbrella ONLY works if it is on default controls with keyboard. HOWEVER, be mindful on how buggy it is on PC/Steam (I heard it works fine on PS3). I always wanted to play this game, especially after knowing the events that followed for Alice:Asylum (the third installment) and I enjoyed the story of the series. I've been following the updates on that for years and it was finally at a point where all it needed was EA to green light it, but they refused and won't give the rights to the creator American McGee. First off, big shame on EA for not approving the third installment for Alice.
